An adorable patriotic pullover. The American flag can either be knit in (intarsia) or worked after the sweater is completed (duplicate stitch). The neck, sleeve edges and lower edge are rolled. Knit in SandnesGarn Lanett  (wool) or SandnesGarn Mandarin Petit (cotton).   We include the yarn for the flag; either wool or cotton.

 

SKILL LEVELS FOR KNITTING
	Beginner	Projects for first-time knitters using basic knit and purl stitches. Minimal shaping.
	Easy	Projects using basic stitches, repetitive stitch patterns, simple color changes, and simple shaping and finishing.
	Intermediate	Projects with a variety of stitches, such as basic cables and lace, simple intarsia, double-pointed needles and knitting in the round needle techniques, mid-level shaping and finishing.
	Experienced	Projects using advanced techniques and stitches, such as short rows, fair isle, more intricate intarsia, cables, lace patterns and numerous color changes.

 

YARN:  SandnesGarn - Lanett             100% merino wool             50 grams - 214 yards                          OR                  SandnesGarn - Mandarin Petit              100% cotton              50 grams - 198 yards     GAUGE: 28 stitches and 40 rows = 4 inches in stockinette stitch on size 3 needles for either yarn;              or size needles to obtain the correct gauge      NEEDLES: size 1 and size 3 straight needles                  size 3 or smaller double pointed needles or 4 stitch holders           NOTIONS: tapestry needle     CARE: machine wash, gentle cycle - lay flat to dry
