This pretty sweater has little flowers (the kind you purchase at the craft store) sewn at the neck all randomly on the knit mesh hat. The sample is knit in Rowan's Cotton Glace. It also works well in Rowan's Classic Cashsoft dk (superwash wool).

SKILL LEVELS FOR KNITTING

Beginner

Projects for first-time knitters using basic knit and purl stitches. Minimal shaping.

Easy

Projects using basic stitches, repetitive stitch patterns, simple color changes, and simple shaping and finishing.

Intermediate

Projects with a variety of stitches, such as basic cables and lace, simple intarsia, double-pointed needles and knitting in the round needle techniques, mid-level shaping and finishing.

Experienced

Projects using advanced techniques and stitches, such as short rows, fair isle, more intricate intarsia, cables, lace patterns and numerous color changes.

57% extra fine merino, 33% acrylic microfibre, 10% cashmere
50 grams - 142 yards

            Rowan - Cotton Glace
            100% cotton
            50 grams - 126 yards

GAUGE: 22 stitches and 28 rows = 4 inches in stockinette stitch on size 5 needles for either yarn;
or size needles to obtain the correct gauge

NEEDLES: size 3 and size 6 straight needles
size 6 or smaller double pointed needles or 4 stitch holders

size D crochet hook

NOTIONS: 3/8" buttons (see number of buttons below)

CARE: machine wash, gentle cycle - lay flat to dry
