Sky bar is a girl’s boxy, hi-styled dolman sleeve cardigan with faux princess seams and a Tyrolean feel. The cardigan is worked from cuff to cuff and only two seams. The I-cord closures add to its uniqueness.

The easy to follow pattern includes:

YARN USED FOR SAMPLE:
Yarn Bee—Warm and Cozy
78% acrylic – 13% nylon – 9% polyester
3.5 ounces-(100 grams)—317 yards-(290 meters)
2(2—3—3—3—4) skeins

For your cardigan to be the correct size, it is not the brand of yarn that matters, but the GAUGE that is important.

It is best to refer to the yardage to determine how many skeins or balls to purchase.


FOR A SUBSTITUTE YARN
Any medium weight soft worsted weight yarn
NEEDLES:
size 8-(5 mm) needles; or size needles to obtain the correct gauge
size 8-(5 mm) 24 inch-(61 cm) circular needle
one size 8 or smaller double-pointed needle to hold left front stitches or spare needle or long         stitch holder



NOTIONS:

gauge ruler
a separate tracking sheet for each size—included with pattern
tapestry needle



GAUGE:
20 stitches and 32 rows = 4 inches-(10 cm) in reverse stockinette stitch on size 8-(5 mm) needles



SKILL LEVEL:
skill_level_2
  Projects using basic stitches, repetitive stitch patterns,  simple color changes, and simple shaping and finishing.
