A very versatile cardigan, knit in seed stitch. Depending on the buttons it can be dressy or casual, feminine or masculine. There is not much finishing on this sweater. The sleeves have fold back cuffs. Knit in either Rowan's Classic Cashsoft dk (superwash wool) or Rowan's Cotton Glace.

 

SKILL LEVELS FOR KNITTING
	Beginner	Projects for first-time knitters using basic knit and purl stitches. Minimal shaping.
	Easy	Projects using basic stitches, repetitive stitch patterns, simple color changes, and simple shaping and finishing.
	Intermediate	Projects with a variety of stitches, such as basic cables and lace, simple intarsia, double-pointed needles and knitting in the round needle techniques, mid-level shaping and finishing.
	Experienced	Projects using advanced techniques and stitches, such as short rows, fair isle, more intricate intarsia, cables, lace patterns and numerous color changes.

 

YARN:  Rowan - Classic Cashsoft dk             57% extra fine merino, 33% acrylic microfibre, 10% cashmere             50 grams - 142 yards                           OR                Rowan - Cotton Glace             100% cotton             50 grams - 126 yards     GAUGE: 22 stitches and 40 rows = 4 inches in seed stitch on size 5 needles for either yarn;               or size needles to obtain the correct gauge    NEEDLES: size 6 straight needles                  size 6 or smaller double pointed needles or 4 stitch holders                     NOTIONS: 1/2" to 3/4" buttons (see below for amount)    CARE: machine wash, gentle cycle - lay flat to dry
