This cardigan and hat (not shown - pattern included) are adorable; with 3 crocheted flowers sewn on the front over snaps (no buttonholes) and 1 flower on the cute hat. Knit in Rowan's Classic Cashsoft dk (superwash wool) or in Rowan's Cotton Glace.   Small amounts of 3 colors yarn are used for the flowers and a green for the leaves. We used: SandnesGarn Lanett, 100% merino wool for the Rowan Cashsoft dk  cardigan SandnesGarn Mandarin Petit 100% cotton for the Rowan Cotton Glace    Because these yarns are thinner than the dk weight we used for the cardigan and therefore the flowers are not too large. If you have baby weight yarn in your stash for the flowers it has to be colorfast cotton or superwash wool and launder the same as the body of cardigan.   Note: If you are knitting the cardigan in cotton; DMC 6 strand embroidery thread (purchased at your local craft shop) works well for the flowers. When using a DMC red color check for colorfastness.

 

SKILL LEVELS FOR KNITTING
	Beginner	Projects for first-time knitters using basic knit and purl stitches. Minimal shaping.
	Easy	Projects using basic stitches, repetitive stitch patterns, simple color changes, and simple shaping and finishing.
	Intermediate	Projects with a variety of stitches, such as basic cables and lace, simple intarsia, double-pointed needles and knitting in the round needle techniques, mid-level shaping and finishing.
	Experienced	Projects using advanced techniques and stitches, such as short rows, fair isle, more intricate intarsia, cables, lace patterns and numerous color changes.
