Regardless of their age babies and children's actual body measurements vary. It is helpful to use the FINISHED GARMENT MEASUREMENTS, in the chart below, which refers to this specific garment only. It can help you choose the size you prefer.

Rowan—Cashsoft dk
57% extra fine merino—33% acrylic microfibre—10% cashmere
1.75 ounces-(50 grams)     -     142 yards-(130 m) each ball

4(6 - 6 - 7 - 8) balls
1 ball Contrasting Color (CC) for all sizes

For your sweater to be the correct size, it is not the brand of yarn that matters, but the GAUGE that is important. It is best to refer to the yardage to determine how many skeins or balls to purchase.

SUGGESTED NEEDLE SIZE
- size 2-(2.75 mm) and size 5-(3.75 mm) straight needles
- size 5-(3.75 mm) or smaller double pointed needles or 4 stitch holders

NOTIONS
- Gauge ruler
- Ring markers
- Tracking sheet –included with pattern
- Tapestry needle
- Two buttons approximately 0.05 inch-(1.27 mm)

GAUGE
- 24 stitches and 32 rows = 4 inches-(10 cm) in stockinette stitch on size 5-(3.75 mm) needles
