YARN: Knit One, Crochet Too - Ty-Dy
           100% cotton
           100 grams - 196 yards

GAUGE: 20 stitches and 32 rows = 4 inches on size 7 needle in seed stitch;
             or size needle to obtain the correct gauge

NEEDLES: size 7 circular needle, 16 inches long OR size 7 straight needles (see note)
                 size 7 double pointed needles

NOTE: It is difficult to avoid twisting when joining for rounds immediately after casting on. To avoid twisting, DO NOT JOIN FOR ROUNDS after cast on; instead work the first 4 rows in stockinette stitch back and forth, then place a ring marker on needle and join for rounds, being careful not to twist. Therefore you would not need the size 9 circular needle.

NOTIONS: tapestry needle

CARE: hand wash, lay flat to dry

TO DETERMINE SIZE

Take a measuring tape and place it around the circumference of the head, slightly above the ears, with the tape held fairly closely to the head. Measure your head and then compare the measurement with the table below to find your size .

Finished hats are approximately 1" to 1.5" smaller than head circumference to allow for the stretch in knits.
