You need knitting lessons if:     -        never knit before   -        haven't knit in 100 years   -        unsure of knitting self   -        only know how to do the knit stitch     A one time fee of $75.00 is forever.   The first lesson is in the evening from 7pm to 9pm.   After that come in as often as you would like during regular shop hours.   Become as proficient  a knitter as you desire to be.
After you feel  secure, casting on, knitting, purling, fixing mistakes, increasing, decreasing and binding off — You are ready to tackle your first project and learn much more.   When you start a project with us we teach you everything you need to know at no extra cost.   It is much easier to retain how to do a technique if it is something that you are doing  in your current project.
LEARN: different increases and decreases and when they are appropriate to use. there are many ways to cast on, some are better suited for different projects buttonholes crocheted buttons felting (we are experts)—including felted flowers stitch patterns (our sampler afghan was made as a first project by a few students) knitting with beads decorative crocheted edges short rows for turning heels entrelac fair isle intarsia ruffles finishing teddy bears socks plus much more
We feel comfortable knitting both American (throwing) or Continental (picking) and can help anyone.   We teach new students to knit Continental because it is more efficient and ambidextrous but the end results are the same.   Many customers who knit American style have asked us to show them how to knit Continental style. We do, but  only have had a few success stories. Muscle memory is very strong.
