A new spin on an old fashion purse. Use it as a knitting bag or it is pretty enough ( we pinned a silk flower on the front) to use as a purse.     This bag is easy but it is rated skill level    because of a few short rows. The short rows give the rounded look on the lower edge.   Three strands of yarn are held together to make this purse. We used 1 strand of Crystal Palaces' Waikiki and 2 coordinating shades of Filatura Di Crosa's Millefili Fine.   When you choose your Waikiki color we will be happy to suggest coordinating colors of Millefili Fili Fine.

 

SKILL LEVELS FOR KNITTING
	Beginner	Projects for first-time knitters using basic knit and purl stitches. Minimal shaping.
	Easy	Projects using basic stitches, repetitive stitch patterns, simple color changes, and simple shaping and finishing.
	Intermediate	Projects with a variety of stitches, such as basic cables and lace, simple intarsia, double-pointed needles and knitting in the round needle techniques, mid-level shaping and finishing.
	Experienced	Projects using advanced techniques and stitches, such as short rows, fair isle, more intricate intarsia, cables, lace patterns and numerous color changes.

YARN	Filatura Di Crosa - Millefili Fine 100% cotton 50 grams - 136 yards   4 balls required 2 each of two different shades to coordinate with your Waikiki choice   Crystal Palace - Waikiki 68% rayon, 32% cotton 50 grams - 105 yards   3 balls required
GAUGE	WITH 3 STRANDS HELD TOGETHER: 2 STRANDS OF MILLEFILI FINE 1 STRAND OF WAIKIKI HELD   15 stitches and 22 rows = 4 inches in stockinette stitch on size         8 needles;         or size needles to obtain the correct gauge
NEEDLES	size 8 straight needles - 10 inches long
NOTIONS	1 pair wooden purse handles - Natural or Oak W03   1 magnetic snap 18mm (for lined purse only) - gold or silver
CARE	If bag becomes soiled with use - spot clean or dry clean
