Skill level:              Finished size: approximately 14" wide x 16" high without shell trim x 6" deep

 

A purse that is fun to make, with 2 knit patterns bobbles and cables. Knit (and crocheted) with 2 strands of Cascade's  Pastaza held together. The base of the purse is crocheted as well as the scalloped trim. The purse handle already has holes to attach it to the bag. We easily drilled 5 additional holes to make the zigzag pattern in yarn as we attached the handle to the purse.

 

SKILL LEVELS FOR KNITTING
	Beginner	Projects for first-time knitters using basic knit and purl stitches. Minimal shaping.
	Easy	Projects using basic stitches, repetitive stitch patterns, simple color changes, and simple shaping and finishing.

GAUGE	WITH 2 STRANDS OF YARN HELD TOGETHER   14 stitches and 22 rows = 4 inches in cable and bobble pattern stitch   11 stitches and 12 rows = 4 inches in single crochet
NEEDLES	size J crochet hook   size 9 circular needle, 24" long   optional: small size circular needle, 24" long (makes picking up                stitches easier) optional: another size 9 circular needle (does not have to be 24"                long (makes first few rows easier)
