For your cardigan to be the correct size, it is not the brand of yarn that matters, but the GAUGE that is important.

It is best to refer to the yardage to determine how many skeins or balls to purchase.




NEEDLES:
size 8 and size 10.5 straight needles; or size needles to obtain the correct gauge



OTHER NOTIONS:
gauge ruler
tapestry needle
5 large decorative snaps—30mm
or
5 buttons—1.25 inch size



GAUGE:
16 stitches and 24 rows = 4 inches in stockinette stitch on size 10.5 needles
