women's sweater 95 - belle

Belle is a beautiful set-in sleeve, high scoop neck with a close to the body fit pullover, inspired by a Bottega Veneta design costing $860. The design features an attractive lace pattern for the front and back yokes and is carried out on the three-quarter length sleeves. The cuffs and lower edge of the bodice are worked in 1 x 1 ribbing. The original pullover was knit in 100% cotton, and I did the same in soft 100% pima cotton. The easy to follow pattern includes:

For your sweater to be the correct size, it is not the brand of yarn that matters, but the GAUGE that is important.

It is best to refer to the yardage to determine how many skeins or balls to purchase.

NEEDLES:

Sizes 4-(3.5 mm) and 6-(4 mm) 10 inch-(25.5 cm) straight needles
Size 4-(3.5 mm) circular needle, 16 inches-(41 cm) long

NOTIONS:

5 double-pointed needles size 6-(4 mm) or smaller to hold
shoulders stitches and back neckline
individual tracking sheet for each size—included with pattern
1 stitch holders for center front neck stitches
package of ring markers
tapestry needle

GAUGE:

22 stitches and 32 rows = 4 inches - (10 cm) in stockinette stitch
21 stitches and 29 rows = 4 inches - (10 cm) in openwork Diamond

SKILL LEVEL:

	Projects using advanced techniques and stitches, such as short rows, fair isle, more intricate intarsia, cables, lace patterns, and numerous color changes
