PATTERN DETAILS - the easy to follow pattern includes:
- Schematic for each piece

- A link for substitute yarn
- The cast-on to the underarm is knit in one piece from the right center front to the left center front, thus avoiding side seams
- The neckband and front bands are crocheted as well as the easy to make buttons.

For your cardigan to be the correct size, it is not the brand of yarn that matters, but the GAUGE that is important. It is best to refer to the yardage to determine how many skeins or balls to purchase.

FOR A SUBSTITUTE YARN

SUGGESTED NEEDLE SIZES
- size 2-(2.75 mm) and size 4-(3.5 mm) circular needles, 29 inches-(73.6 cm) long
- Size F-(3.75 mm) crochet hook
- Size C-(2.75 mm) crochet hook for buttons

NOTIONS
- Gauge ruler
- Tracking sheet-included with pattern
- Tapestry needle
- Four double-pointed needles size 4-(3.5 mm) or smaller to hold shoulder stitches
- Two spare circular needles, size 4-(3.5 mm) or smaller, 24 inches-(60 cm) long to hold the left front and the back while working on the right front

GAUGE
- 28 stitches and 38 rows= 4 inches-(10 cm) on size 4-(3.5 mm) needles
