Regardless of actual body measurements, everyone prefers a different finished look. It is helpful to use the FINISHED GARMENT MEASUREMENTS, in the chart below, which refers to this specific garment only. It can help your choose the look you prefer.

YARN USED FOR SAMPLE
Rowan—Cashsoft 4 ply
57% extra fine merino—33% acrylic microfiber—10% cashmere
1.75 ounces-(50 grams)     —      197 yards-(180 m)

7(8—9) balls
1 ball contrasting color for optional bias knit ribbon

For your pullover to be the correct size, it is not the brand of yarn that matters, but the GAUGE that is important. It is best to refer to the yardage to determine how many skeins or balls to purchase.

FOR A SUBSTITUTE YARN

NEEDLES
- Size 6-(4mm) straight needles; or size needles to obtain the correct gauge
- Optional size 10-(6 mm) needles for bias knit ribbon
- Size E-(3.5mm) crochet hook

NOTIONS
- Gauge ruler
- Two ring markers
- Tapestry needle
- A separate tracking sheet for each size pullover—included in pattern
- Four size 6-(4mm) or smaller double-pointed needles to use as stitch holders or 4 stitch holders
- One long stitch holder or a spare size 6-(4mm) needle
- Optional size 10-(6 mm) needles for bias knit ribbon
- 2½ yards-(2.2 m) or 1½ yards-(1.3 m) of lacing embellishment—½ inch-(1.3 cm) wide

GAUGE
- 25 stitches and 36 rows = 4 inches-(10 cm) in stockinette stitch on size 6-(4mm) needles
